Information about this piece...
Learning, performing, and recording this masterpiece was a personal milestone in my dulcimer playing. It is the single-most technically demanding piece I play. Due to extended chromatic bass lines, dampers are recommended. Beyond the technique, it lends itself easily to magical musical moments. Bach cleverly composed a countermelody within a single line of music in this piece.
