After teaching and performing on hammered dulcimer for over 16 years, Mark Wade developed an exciting new pedagogy which builds 'classical' technique while enjoying fun dulcimer tunes! In May 2007, Tunes 'n' Techniques, 7th Edition was released with even more tunes and more techniques!
T.N.T. 7th Edition now includes transcriptions of Mark's playing from all six of Mark's CDs! There are an additional 16 songs not yet recorded that are Mark's favorites to play and teach. Almost every song is written for every ability level, from rank beginner to advanced. This is made possible by Mark's unique theme and variations form of each tune. Each new tune presents the melody in its simplest form (for beginners). Then a series of variations follow, each getting progressively more difficult. In this way, players can work up to their ability level and be able to enjoy every piece.
The 7th Edition includes additional features such as:
Spiral binding for easy page turns
Enlarged sheet music for easy reading
Cleaner fonts
New songs
New user's guide with tips for self-teaching
A total of 120+ pages of "Tunes 'n' Techniques!"
